With the final march and raffle happening on Sunday, March 27th in Bancroft, organizers of the March of Gratitude say the response of both businesses and residents has been overwhelming.
Steering committee members Leila Ward and William Kilpatrick say they had great support in getting donations from businesses for their month-end raffle, with many people joining the marches themselves. In total, they have given out 1,500 raffle tickets and have 85 gift certificates worth $2,500. Kilpatrick says the town has outdone themselves and has seen firsthand the amount of kindness and gratitude they’ve shown. He says it has made them speechless.
On Sunday, they plan to meet across from Wattle and Daub and the post office for their final march, with the raffle happening at noon. Anyone who has not filled out tickets can reach out on their Facebook page or email [email protected]. All donations must be in at 3 PM on Saturday at Alice’s Pantry
