Derek Sloan will seek election again in Hastings-Lennox and Addington, this time provincially.
Sloan is running as the leader of the Ontario Party in the riding, where he held the seat federally until 2021. In his statement, he says the Ontario Party’s platform will focus on accountability for lockdowns and mandates, promote a “parents-first” approach to education, and protect civil liberties.
Sloan says the party aims to give what he calls “authentically conservative voters an alternative to the Progressive Conservatives.” Sloan became the leader of the Ontario Party in December of last year.
