Winter has ended, and according to Hastings County, that means no more need for a warming centre this season.
The centre has officially ended its mandate, and its last day of activation was March 30th. The location at Flint Avenue was opened several times since it became the permanent centre on January 31st. Before then, the centre was located at the North Hastings Community Centre.
Hastings County says funding has already been allocated for the 2022-23 season. More details about next year’s warming program will be discussed next month.
