Bancroft will have its water flushed throughout the week, according to the company that provides the service.
Veolia Water Canada started its water main flushing program for the spring. Water will be flushed at various locations across town until Saturday, April 23rd or later if weather delays the process. Flushing will be done between 5 AM and 5 PM every day. The company says this is done to remove sediment accumulation.
During the week, residents may experience discolored water or lower water pressures. Residents should run cold tap water for a few minutes to get rid of discoloration should it occur. They also suggest residents avoid using water during the hours when flushing occurs, and not to wash close in discolored water.
