Hastings-Lennox-Addington candidates set for June election

The candidates are set for the June 2nd election in the riding of Hastings-Lennox and Addington.

All candidates are looking to fill the seat left empty by PC MPP Daryl Kramp, who announced his retirement from politics in February after a 20-year career.

Running in Kramp’s place as the PC candidate is Ric Bresee. Bresee is currently on leave as the Mayor of Loyalist Township in Lennox and Addington County.

The Ontario Liberals have fielded Ted Darby as their candidate. The Stone Mills resident is a former Vice-President of three Kingston-area hospitals and is currently a graduate program professor for health administration at St. Lawrence College.

Eric Depoe has been selected as the NDP candidate for the riding. Depoe is a paralegal practicing in the Napanee area.

The Green Party of Ontario candidate is Christina Wilson. She is currently Vice President of the Kawartha Pine Ridge Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.

Joyce Reid is the candidate for the New Blue Party of Ontario. The former nurse lives in Eldorado, Ontario.

Ontario Party leader Derek Sloan is running for the riding. Sloan is the former MP for Hastings-Lennox-Addington.
