The County of Hastings wants the roof fixed at the North Hastings Professional Building, and they want it done now.
The Finance and Property Committee wants staff to proceed with emergency roof repairs and wants to waive requirements to do so. If passed, the county will start looking for quotes from contractors immediately.
The building located at 1 Centennial Lane had a number of leaks that were exposed with the spring thaw. The committee wants to fully upgrade the roof for a cost of $98,000.
