The OPP handed out a list of charges during the Canada Day patrol in Centre Hastings.
They focused on seatbelts and aggressive, distracted and impaired drivers. From June 26 to July 1, officers laid: 90 speeding charges, nine charges for cell phone use, five insurance charges and thirteen other charges.
On June 27, a 28-year old Flinton man was given a three-day licence suspension and his vehicle was towed during a R.I.D.E. check in Tweed.
On June 26, a 69-year old Tweed woman was also taken to hospital with minor injuries after being struck by a van in Tweed. A 76-year old Madoc woman was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
