Think Turtle Conservation Initiative urging people to call them in emergencies

With turtles regularly crossing the highways across the region, the Managing Director of the Think Turtle Conservation Initiative says how you contact them could be all the difference in saving a turtle’s life.

Kelly Wallace is urging people to not send inquiries to them through email, Facebook Messenger or tag them in posts. This is because staff at the Initiative spends several hours doing field work and often do not have internet access.

Instead, Wallace urges people to use their phone line. They can be contacted about a situation on the road, inquiring about turtle nests that might be in danger, or any other instance where a turtle is injured.

To get in touch with the Think Turtle Conservation Initiative, call or text 647-606-9537.
