Bancroft Flying Club hosting pancake breakfast

The Bancroft Flying Club is hosting its pancake breakfast this year.

Lynn Davis, President of the Bancroft Community Airport, says the event was held for 35 years, and was part of Wheels, Water and Wings. It started off as a fundraiser for the airport, which only receives some funding from the Town of Bancroft. He adds there may be some other fundraising done as well at the event for local groups.

This year the event will be held on Sunday, July 10th. Davis says that they have expanded the pancake breakfast to include a barbeque starting at 12:30. The event will run from 8 AM until 3 PM at the airport.

In addition to food, Davis says the MNRF will have a helicopter on-site, as well as aircraft from the Bancroft Flying Club. There will also be live entertainment and a car show. In addition, Lake Country airways from Orillia will be offering sky tours of the area.

Davis says in addition to supporting the Flying Club, the Bancroft Airport provides all emergency air services for the area, including OPP, Hydro One, and helicopter services for the Ministry of Health
