The province has approved the use of a fourth booster shot, and the health unit wants residents to know how they can get it.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says they still have their vaccine booking portal up and running, where residents can find clinic information. The health unit is looking to expand appointment availability and pop-up clinics. They add appointments will be required for those 18 to 59 years of age. Pop-up clinics will accept walk-in appointments.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ethan Toumishey says they are seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases as the province enters the seventh wave. He encourages those with underlying health conditions, or who spend time with vulnerable people, to get the extra boost.
