“Patience is a Virtue” Public Works manager urges calm over long weekend

With a busy weekend set for Bancroft and North Hastings, the Public Works Manager for the Town is urging people to be patient.

Perry Kelly says he knows it’s a hectic and busy weekend, with several events including the Rockhound Gemboree bringing hundreds of people through town. However, he would like to remind everyone that “patience is a virtue” and that the ability to wait for something without getting angry or upset is a valuable quality.

Kelly reminds drivers that all traffic signals are set the way they need to be to operate properly. He wants everyone to be safe as they travel through the main thoroughfare, and knows everyone is overly excited about a weekend like this. However, he wants people to think of patience when they come across an upsetting situation, like things not going as quickly as they want them to.
