Quinte Health Care workers talk importance of donations ahead of Radiothon

Dr. Colin MacPherson says contributions to the North Hastings District Hospital help it keep up with the pace of modern medicine.

“Technology and medicine changes so rapidly that to keep up the quality and standards that patients deserve, a lot does depend on having up-to-date technology,” says MacPherson, the Chief of Staff for Quinte Health Care, the organization that runs the hospital.

97.7 Moose FM is hosting its 15th annual “We’re All Heart” Radiothon to raise money for the hospital on Friday, August 12th. The money from the event will go towards purchasing new equipment for the hospital.

Dr. Parambir Keilah, the site lead for the Bancroft hospital, says fundraising events like the Radiothon are important for maintaining the quality of care it offers patients.

“It’s allowing us to provide the care that you expect and deserve when you come through our doors,” Dr. Keilah says. “We’re here to serve, but to serve you well, we need the right tools so that you get the care you need, when you need it.”

The Radiothon will run from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the 12th. Moose FM will be broadcasting live outside Price Ford on Hastings Street in Bancroft throughout the event.
