We’re All Heart Radiothon raises $23,898 for local healthcare

The 15th annual Moose FM Radiothon has come to a close, and it has raised a hefty amount.

As of 6 PM, the Radiothon has raised $23,898 for the North Hastings District Hospital Auxiliary. Donations were collected in front of Price Ford, over the phone, and through the Auxiliary’s Canada Helps portal.

The Auxiliary is hoping to purchase seven vital sign monitors with the donations this year. They are also looking to purchase Piccolo Xpress Blood Analyzer. According to Debbie Speck, a worker with the Auxiliary, the total needed to buy the equipment comes out to $50,000.

Donations can still be accepted through the Auxiliary’s Canada Helps portal. The Auxiliary has been fundraising all summer with events at Bancroft’s No Frills and Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Week.
