Kawartha Credit Union donates $5,000 to Loyalist College bursary

Mark Kirkpatrick is thanking Kawartha Credit Union for its donation to a bursary for health science students at Loyalist College’s Bancroft campus.

“As the College continues to work with our partners on closing critical skills gaps in the region’s healthcare ecosystem, this donation will ensure our students have the financial support they need to be successful in their post-secondary journey and make an immediate impact in the workforce,” says Kirkpatrick, the school’s Acting President.

The Credit Union, a financial organization with 23 branches across Ontario, donates $5,000 to the school annually, with the money going towards students in its Personal Support Worker, Paramedic, and Practical Nursing programs.

According to Loyalist College Marketing and Communications Director Braden Root-McCaig, $53,000 in donations have been contributed to the bursary over the years, with more than 50 students receiving money from it.
