More details are coming in about how Bancroft will mark the holiday season.
The Santa Claus parade is set for Saturday, December 3. Groups will meet at the MTO building parking lot to begin the route downtown, via Monk Street, at 2:30 p.m. The parade wraps up after it turns east from Hastings Street and moves towards Riverside Park.
Activities will continue at Riverside Park up until 7 p.m. There, families can receive a free digital photo for making a donation to the Kids-In-Need Toy Drive. And those who donate food items for North Hastings Community Cupboard can receive a S’mores Kit.
Special guests at the event will include Rocky The Rockhound, Sparky the Fire Dog and, of course, Santa Claus.
A tree lighting ceremony and carol sing is planned for 6:45 p.m.
