Bancroft’s new council will be sworn in on Tuesday.
Mayor Paul Jenkins was re-elected in October’s municipal election. Councillors Charles Mullet, Valerie Miles, Barry McGibbon and Tracy McGibbon are all returning, after being re-elected.
A new councillor is George Eastman. And Mary Kavanagh is back on council again, after last serving in the 2014-to-2018 term.
The ceremony takes place at 3:30 p.m. in the council chamber at the town office. It will also be live-streamed on Bancroft’s YouTube channel.
The next day, there’s a special meeting so councillors can be trained on how council proceedings work. The first regular meeting of council is scheduled for December 13th at 3 p.m.
