United Way donations to be matched on Giving Tuesday

Now that Black Friday has passed, you may want to get into Giving Tuesday.

November 29 will mark Giving Tuesday; a worldwide occasion that encourages charitable donations.

The United Way Hastings Prince Edward is marking the event, as it says any donations made on the day will be matched by McDougall Insurance and Financial. 

You can make a donation through the United Way’s website. 

The United Way fundraises on behalf of numerous social agencies, including several North Hastings organizations, such as Bancroft Community Transit and North Hastings Children’s Services. 

The organization is in the midst of a campaign where it hopes to raise $2 million for numerous social agencies.
