We have some award-winners to announce from the Bancroft Santa Claus Parade.
The top prize for the best float by a community group went to the 1st Bancroft Scouts. Bancroft Fire Department came in second and the Northern Outdoors Studies class from North Hastings High School came in third.
In the commercial group category, McDougall Insurance won top prize. Second went to the Bancroft Jets Minor Hockey Association-float, sponsored by Steve-n-Sons Auto & Marine. And third went to Sharett Construction.
The winners were announced by the Bancroft Lions Club, which puts on the parade. The club says there were 28 floats in the competition.
