Prince Edward-Hastings MP Daryl Kramp is announcing funding for a project through the First Nations Technical Institute.
The MP says $74,250 in funding will go towards Indigenous Community Diabetes Support, which will help students learn skills to work as support workers in the labour market.
It’s part of the Post-Secondary Partnerships Program, which supports institutions that deliver college and university curriculum. Kramp says the program is currently assisting 73 projects across Canada, which focus on giving First Nations and Inuit students skills needed for the workplace.
