Community Corridor of Inclusion and Resilience to host next event Jan 19

A community-building group that fosters discussions on important topics through the arts, is getting ready for a new year.

The Community Corridor of Inclusion and Resilience is a group made up of representatives of several North Hastings organizations.

Its first event of 2023 will be a theatrical event, held at noon on Thursday, January 19th at the North Hastings Community Trust building. Eliza Plumley, one of the lead artists with the group, says it will be a “participatory theatre” event, where issues such as “injustice” will be explored.

The Community Corridor of Inclusion and Resilience is in the midst of Phase 2 of its mission, which means holding events that reflect on the need to recognize, remember and grieve colonial violence. It will host several more events over the year, which will be grounded in Indigenous ceremonies and rituals.

More information on the group, its past events and current projects, can be found on its website.
