The Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League Top Prospects and All-Star Games will be played in Bancroft.
The Games take place on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the North Hastings Community Centre.
The Prospects Game, for players aged 16 to 18, takes place at 5 p.m. and the All-Star Game, for players 19 to 21, takes place at 8 p.m.
The GMHL has been in Bancroft since the 2019-2020 season, when the Bancroft Rockhounds debuted.
Rockhounds forwards Xavier Dumont-Renaud and Felix Tougas will both play on Team White in the Prospects contest.
The home team’s representatives in the All-Star Game will be forward Charles Beaupre and goalie Igor Kulakov, who will also be on Team White.
It’s been a tough year for the local team so far. They’ll start the 2023 portion of the season with a win-loss record of 5-19, which has them in last place in the seven-team North Division.
