Local charities, non-profits and Indigenous groups that have faced new struggles due to the pandemic, can apply for funding to help them recover.
The United Way of Hastings & Prince Edward has announced it’s now seeking applications for the Community Services Recovery Fund.
The United Way works with the federal government to distribute the funds.
The feds expect to give out $400 million nation-wide through the program. The money is to allow groups to modernize, so they can continue to offer important services in their communities.
Groups have until February 21 to apply and they can learn more about the process through the United Way’s website.
Eligible organizations include groups that work on arts and culture, education, the environment and housing, among other issues.
