Federal fund to help non-profits in pandemic recovery

Local charities, non-profits and Indigenous groups that have faced new struggles due to the pandemic, can apply for funding to help them recover.

The United Way of Hastings & Prince Edward has announced it’s now seeking applications for the Community Services Recovery Fund.

The United Way works with the federal government to distribute the funds.

The feds expect to give out $400 million nation-wide through the program. The money is to allow groups to modernize, so they can continue to offer important services in their communities.
