Heads up parents: The time you send your child off to school may change next year.
A Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board proposal is calling for changes to bell times at North Hastings High School, as well as York River and Bird’s Creek elementary schools.
The high school would start at 8:15 in the morning, 25-minutes earlier than this year’s start time.
York River’s start time would be moved to 8:25 a.m., 20 minutes earlier than its current time. Bird’s Creek would start at 9:30, 50 minutes later than this year’s time.
The proposal is the subject of a Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board meeting next Monday at 6 p.m. at York River Public School.
The meeting is to discuss the board’s Transportation Review, which calls for more efficient bussing schedules.
The board is asking people who would like to attend in person – or watch online – to register in advance. They can register here.
More information on school bus plans are on the board’s website and a PDF which gives more details on the North Hastings plan can be accessed here.
