Bancroft is asking for help from Hastings Highlands taxpayers as it addresses financial losses with the North Hastings Community Centre.
Town council passed a motion this week to request $10,000 from their municipal neighbour.
The motion states the arena building lost $100,000 in 2021. It also states the financial model for it is not sustainable.
A line of the motion also reads that “it has always been the intention of the Town to liaise with all North Hastings municipalities to develop a long-term operating model.”
Council passed the motion without any debate. The request will be sent to Hastings Highlands’ clerk.
