Reminder: Moose tag allocation deadline is May 1

You only have a few days left to apply for this year’s primary moose tag allocation.

Ontario Fish and Wildlife is reminding residents that the application deadline is Monday, May 1.

Applying costs $15, and you’ll need to specify where you want to hunt, what weapon you plan to use, and what kind of moose you’ll be hunting.

Results for this allocation will be posted on May 16. If you received any tags, you’ll have until June 7 to claim them.

If you don’t receive any, or you aren’t able to claim your tags, any leftover tags will be distributed through a last-chance allocation later in June.

You can find more details, and information on how to apply, on the provincial governments website.
