A group that has raised thousands of dollars for local charities and not-for-profits is about to get working again – and that usually means about $10,000 for one.
The 100 Women Who Care Bancroft Region group is holding its spring meeting on Wednesday, May 17 at the Village Playhouse at 6:30 p.m.
Representatives from the North Hastings Public Library, the Algonquin Arts Council and animal welfare group, Home Again, will make appeals for funding.
At the end of the meeting, members vote on one to support and the winning group then gets a $100 cheque from each member.
