People behind a Bancroft youth organization are asking the public to get “all aboard” with a fundraising drive.
The Switch Yard is in the midst of a campaign, which culminates with a BBQ and live auction on Friday, June 2.
It takes place at 5:30 p.m. at the building located along the former rail line on Hastings Heritage Way. The cost to attend is $10 a person or $35 for a family.
The Switch Yard’s “All Aboard” campaign hopes to raise $20,000 to support North Hastings youth through programs, including its drop-in program.
Kelsey Watts, of Youth Unlimited, the organization which manages the Switch Yard, says that more than 60 young people access these programs.
She says funds raised help create a “community where our youth feel safe and cared for.”
