Bancroft OPP hauls in weapons and drugs after traffic stop

A traffic complaint led to a drugs and weapons bust for Bancroft OPP.

The detachment says a 35-year-old from Cayuga is facing 38 charges, after police were called to Hwy. 118 in Highlands East, late in the evening of June 23.

Police say a caller reported a possible impaired driver and when officers arrived, they found the vehicle, but the driver had fled.

The Canine and Emergency Response teams were called in and eventually the driver was found.
