The Bancroft & Area Autumn Studio Tour will be back this September. And there’s already an opportunity to check out the work that will be shown.
Samples are on display at the Hastings Highland Public Library this month. And in August, the tour will have a display at Art Galley of Bancroft.
The tour is on the weekends of Sept. 16-17 and Sept. 23-24.
Ketha Newman, one of the participating artists, says having the event over two weekends gives people time to see as many artists as possible. This year there will be 22 participants, at 15 different locations.
“It’s a free self-guided tour,” she says. “You can visit the artists at whatever schedule you want, during our open hours, which are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.”
“You can go around to the studios and see demonstrations, you can see equipment and materials that people use to create their art and just talk to the artists about the work and make purchases if you like.”
