Be safe as you drive on Highway 62.
That is from groups that make up the Quinte Region Traffic Coalition.
Organizations that make up the Coalition will be monitoring the highway this week to make sure it’s safe. They’ll watch for what they call “the big four” road safety issues. That’s distracted driving, impaired driving, aggressive driving and lack of seatbelt use.
The coalition is made up of several government organizations and police units, including Bancroft OPP.

Last summer’s “Safe on 62” campaign led to 76 charges.
The coalition advises drivers to plan for a safe ride home if you are using substances, always wear their seatbelt, put your phone out of reach while driving and to follow speed limits.
