UPDATE: Search for ‘Denis’ enters sixth day

Bancroft OPP are searching for this man, named Denis.

UPDATE: Thursday, July 27, 9:30 a.m.

The search for a missing man, east of Bancroft, is now in its sixth day. 

There’s still no sign of the 75-year-old man and still little information that’s public.  

The man has only been identified as Denis. Rescue workers are still searching, while coordinating their efforts from Hermon Public School, where several OPP vehicles remain. 

Several police units are involved in the search, including OPP Aviation Services, the East Region Canine Unit and the Underwater Search and Recovery Team.  

Denis is described as five-foot-10, with a medium build. He is bald and wears glasses.  

He was last seen in the Bulpit Lake area, just west of the school, on Saturday afternoon.  

Anyone who has seen Denis or has information to help the investigation is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.      

Wednesday, July 26, 10 a.m. 

The search for a man who’s missing in an area east of Bancroft has entered its fifth day. 

Several police units are still working in the Hermon neighborhood, near Bulpit Lake. That’s where the 75-year-old was last seen on Saturday.  

The man has only been identified as Denis.  

He is five-foot-10 with a medium build. He is bald and wears glasses.  

Police also say he may be wearing a blue and white collared shirt, blue jeans and running shoes.   

Anyone with information is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
