A new school year starts soon, which means some new Kindergarten students are about to take their first steps onto a school bus.
North Hastings Children’s Services has an event coming up to help these kids, and their parents, feel comfortable about it.
The annual Bus Night event takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 23. It’s at 6 p.m. at the NHCS building on Hastings Heritage Way.
Families and their kids can complete the “First Rider” program, which includes a short video on bus safety, followed by a short ride on a bus.
