“Rock the Forest” charity ATV ride raises $2,600+ for Tri-Township Food Basket

Despite stormy weather over the weekend, more than fifty local ATV riders have helped raise over two thousand dollars for people struggling with food insecurity.

The Coe Hill Riders ATV Club hosted its “Rock the Forest” charity ride on Saturday, bringing in $2,642.57 for the Tri-Township Food Basket.

The event saw riders going through local forest trails throughout the day, with a stop for some live music performed by local artists with their lunch.

“I want to thank these guys for coming out and performing in the forest,” says Club President Darren Stevens. “They were great.”

The money, as well as several bags of non-perishable food donations, will go towards supporting people in Wollaston, Limerick and Tudor-Castel.

Organizers say the ATV Club is planning another fundraising ride, benefiting the Wollaston Public Library, on September 23rd.
