The North Hastings Community Trust location is about to benefit from some creative energy.
The public is invited to the 19 Valley View Drive building on Thursday, Sept. 21 to work on a community art installation.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and several activities are planned.
Participants can beautify a fence with poetry and fabric and work on other projects with themes around kindness, the Indigenous medicine wheel and commemorating loved one’s lost.
The event, called “Gathering All The Threads … Gateway to Community Healing”, is a project by the Community Corridor of Inclusion and Resilience.
That group has been holding events over the past year, which are about reflecting on the need to recognize, remember and grieve colonial violence.
