Santa Claus is coming to town soon.
The Bancroft Santa Claus parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 2 this year.
As usual, it will start from the Bancroft Public Works yard at 2:30 p.m. and the parade will travel east into the downtown area, via Monck, Sherbourne and Bridge streets. It will hook left onto Hastings Street and turn left again at Station Street, before ending at the Bancroft Lions Club’s Santa’s Village House by about 3:30 p.m.
Bancroft council approved the date at its Tuesday council meeting.
Councillors voted to close streets to traffic and put on a ban on parking on Hastings Street for the duration of the parade.
