Some Bancroft businesses are looking to hire as they get ready for the busy holiday season.
That from Community Employment Services staff, who are hosting a job fair at the Bancroft Loyalist College campus on Thursday.
It runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 employers will be there, from industries ranging from food services to construction.
CES’s Sarah Pilgrim says the job market in Bancroft has slowed since its peak in the spring, but that’s expected. However, she says, “as the holiday season approaches, we are seeing an increase in employers trying to fill vacancies.”
She encourages job seekers to connect with CES, as she says staff are expecting job opportunities to be steady through fall and winter.
