A new denture clinic in Bancroft aims to take a bite out of a service shortage.
Jared Dickey Denture Clinic opened in September at 221 Hastings St. N.
Dickey, a Bancroft native, had been working at a clinic in Minden. He said patients from Bancroft had been travelling to that clinic for service, because there was no convenient option for them here.
That led him to believe there would be high demand for the service in Bancroft. He says it didn’t take him long to develop a strong roster of patients, upon opening.
“I’ve had a lot of people very thankful and grateful that I’ve opened up,” he says. “They’ve been able to come in, in a timely manner, and get the help that they need.”
Dickey says most of his patients are over age 50 and can come to the clinic to replace missing teeth, whether it’s one tooth, a few, or a whole set of teeth.
