If you don’t have a local dentist, this news may put a shine in your smile.
The Bancroft Dental Centre has opened. The clinic is run by Dr. Zulfar Moledina at 68 Hastings St. N.
Moledina says the centre aims to take a bite out of a local shortage of dental services. He says many patients at his other location in Barry’s Bay, travel from Bancroft for service. Now they have a closer option.
“There’s definitely a demand for services in Bancroft,” he says. “If we’re able to provide a comprehensive list of services, then obviously patients can have services done here; they don’t have to travel to places like Peterborough and other destinations.”
The clinic opened for patients a week ago. For now, it’s just booking appointments for Wednesdays, but Dr. Moledina says, as the clinic builds its roster, its hours will expand and eventually be open full time.
The centre has a hygienist working for it and it offers several dental services, such as crowns, implants and even braces.
