Beginning on Tuesday January 9th a temporary warming centre will be located in the front lobby of the Bancroft Bible Chapel. It will be open nightly from 9pm –7am until the permanent warming centre is ready for use.
According to a press release from Hastings County, security staff at the chapel will provide support to anyone seeking shelter.
The Bancroft Bible Chapel is located at 109 Hastings st. North, next to Subway/Deluca’s restaurant.
The permanent shelter is scheduled to be transported from Belleville on January 23rd. Efforts are being made to have it operational as soon as possible upon its arrival in Bancroft.
