North Hastings Community Cupboard is working with the Town of Bancroft and Hastings County to provide breakfast kits for the recently opened warm room located at the Bancroft Bible Chapel.
For those who wish to help with food donations they are looking for: one-serve oatmeals, granola bars, individually packaged crackers & cookies, fruit and applesauce cups, juice boxes and non-refrigerated milk boxes. They say monetary donations can help the food bank to regularly purchase fresh fruit.
During food bank hours the Community Cupboard says they also watch for those needing hats, mitts, socks and coats and distribute what they have on hand.
The Cupboard, as well as Life House on Bridge Street also provide hot meals during the week.
