Bancroft Council is looking into speed on Detlor Road.
This comes after several complaints have been made by local residents about transport trucks and cars driving too fast on the road between Highway 28 and Highway 62 near L’amable.
At Bancroft’s recent meeting of the Safety and Well Being committee, a recommendation was passed to gather more information before recommending a speed reduction on the road.
Town Manager Andra Kaufeldt says once a recommendation is approved staff will begin to collect speed data and report those findings to council for further consideration.
