Nominations are open for the 2024 version of Hockeyville and Bancroft is in the running. Until February18 anyone can vote to nominate the town on the Hockeyville website page by submitting in writing or by video on why the Bancroft arena should win.
The town that wins Hockeyville will get $250, 000 and to host an NHL preseason game. In Bancroft, the money would be used to update the ice chilling system at the rink.
One of the organizers for Bancroft, Meredith Card is hoping everyone gets on board. “We’re looking for everybody” Said Card, “We’re looking for not just hockey players. We’re looking for anybody who the Community Center has had an impact on, which is a large number of people”
