There is a special meeting of council this Wednesday April 10 in which the town of Bancroft will give its Budget Presentation.
The presentation proposes a tax levy increase of 5.72%.
According to MPAC the average home in Bancroft is assessed at $137,550 which means that a tax levy of 5.72% would increase a home owners property taxes by $114 for the year.
Other things discusses in the Budget presentation include the arena, community grants and infrastructure like water, sewer and roads.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting in person. It will also be live-streamed on the towns youtube page.
