The town of Bancroft has approved the 2024 Budget.
There will be a tax levy increase of 5.72% which they say will equate to approximately $114 a year or 31 cents a day per the average household.
The town says several factors influenced the tax levy, including legal fees, software licensing, staffing additions, increased policing costs and the operation of the North Hastings Community Center.
The Town says that “Council continues to be guided by debt reduction goals and that the Town will see a 22% debt reduction by the end of 2024”
