If you’re travelling for Mother’s Day this weekend you might want to stop by the Wilberforce or Haliburton Foodland.
The Haliburton and District Lions club is hosting a Mother’s Day weekend ‘Food Bank Fill-Up’ supporting local food banks.
The food drive has been hosted for the last 2 years and takes place Saturday.
Between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. people can drop off donations at the Haliburton and Wilberforce Foodland parking lots. Donations will go to the Haliburton and Wilberforce food banks.
The food banks are part of the Central Food Network who works to help the community and its partners share food and heat resources.
