The Fraser Institute has released its annual listing of High schools and Elementary Schools in the province. The listing is done each year and rates schools based on seven academic indicators using data from the annual province wide tests of literacy and math managed by Ontario’s Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO). For High Schools, North Hastings High School in Bancroft was rated 690 out of 740 schools listed. That’s down from last year’s rating of 594 out of 691. There were 3030 public schools rated in the province and in our area Birds Creek was rated #672, Our Lady of Mercy was rated #1218, York River Public was rated at #2968 and Maynooth rated at #3005.
