Bancroft OPP investigate second fatal collision on Highway 28 in less than a week 

On August 6, shortly after 3:30 p.m., police responded to a collision involving three vehicles and two motorcycles on Highway 28, near Kawartha Dairy.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.  

Two occupants were airlifted by ORNGE to the hospital with life-threatening conditions.  

Two occupants were transported by Paramedic Services to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

This is the second fatal collision on Highway 28 south of Bancroft in just a few days. 

Bancroft Detachment OPP say that on August 3, just before 2:30 p.m. officers responded to a collision involving three motorcycles and a vehicle on Highway 28 near Paudash School Road.   

Two drivers were pronounced dead. 

The investigation into both collisions is ongoing, involving officers from the Bancroft Detachment, the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionist.
