Madoc OPP had to follow a trail in the snow to catch their man. On Tuesday evening, they received a call about a single car crash on Bethel Road in Tweed, where the car left the roadway and struck a tree. When they arrived on scene, police discovered that the car was no longer there. Tire tracks were followed from the scene to Trillium Lane and on to Sugar Lane. A damaged vehicle was finally located at the end of Cedar Lane in a snow bank. Officers followed footprints up a driveway where they located the intoxicated driver lying in a snow bank. A 58 year-old Tweed man was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Refuse to Provide Breath Sample.
