Except for a brief drizzle, the rain held off for Monday’s Remembrance Day service in Bancroft.
Hundreds of people gathered in Cenotaph Park to recognize the day and attend the ceremony where wreaths were laid in commemoration.
Community representatives and dignitaries were there including Edna Armstrong who laid a wreath for the war brides, and was a war bride herself who currently resides in Bancroft.
