Charges Laid in Rail Line Blockade Protest

The Napanee OPP Crime Unit has charged three men after protesters blocked a road and rail line the crossed Wyman Road in Tyendinaga Township, from March 2nd to March 8th. A 49 year-old Tyendinaga man faces two counts of mischief, a second 38 year-old Tyendinaga man has been charged with obstructing police and mischief. The third man, a 27 Kingston resident is charged with Mischief over $5,000, Assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon dangerous to the peace and Breach of probation. The investigation is continuing. Further charges may be laid.
